Sadly, canvassers for anti-gay rights measures often hide that ballot initiative page under the pages for other initiatives, so people end up signing it without knowing it. In MA, the initiative was hidden under an initiative to ban greyhound racing. So, lots of dog lovers ended up on KnowThyNeighbor. It was because so many people complained to election officials that the scam became known.
So, if your name is on the list and you didn't know you signed, complain and catch some fraudsters!!

It seems that when many advocates of denying rights to minorities are exposed while they are attempting to get legislation passed that supports their position, they call it an invasion of privacy. If they get the legislation passed, such as Prop 8, they are out in the open right away, and in the event the legislation is overturned, they claim their rights are taken away. This identifies them as the self-righteous bigots that they are, which is why I do not consider them worthy of respect.
