  • Correction: I mention that the spaghetti squash (Cucurbita pepo) might cross with another squash such as a butternut squash (Cucurbita moschata). That's not possible because they are different species of squash. The spaghetti squash could be pollinated by another squash that is also a Cucurbita pepo (ex. acorn, delicata, pattypan, yellow cookneck & zucchini) to mention a few. Just imagine. What does one get when your spaghetti squash gets pollinated by one of those? A surprise for sure.
