"Silverado" was a total, come-from-behind, out-of-left-field classic. A Western? In the mid-eighties?
Plus, you had these actors who you would never imagine starring in an oater. Jeff Goldblum? Kevin Kline? Danny Glover (pre-Lonesome Dove)? Rosanna Arquette? John Cleese?!?
The take-home lesson is: If you've got a crackin' good story the rest will fall into line.
And is it just me or was Linda Hunt HOT in this piece?

You know a films worth watchen when it has an all star cast like this, classic. They lack the originality and artform these days, they really do.

The 'Where's the Dog' storyline and the insight it offers into Paden's character are the best aspects of the movie. I love Paden's line about the dog springing him.
I was disappointed when Slick ended up as a villain. I was hoping he would help Paden and the others.
