What was done at the time of install of the supercharger (transmission/rear end/engine upgrades) to handle the power? And did it ever break?

@TenaciousRock27 Just before the supercharger was installed I installed a monster stage III clutch, patriot gold dual valvesprings, titanium pushrods, and retainers. The fuel pump is a racetronix with a hotwire kit. The t56 was stock along with the rear. Nothing has broken on the car once. I know have an S60 with 4.10's in it just to make sure. The car has been 11.90's in the hot altitude in colorado on 1.6's.  It has more left.

yea I have an 02 TA myself and I've just now started looking into this possibility. Late Model Speed is real close to where I live and they offer an installation of this type of kit. you don't mind me asking how much did this run you after all was said and done minus the cam? and also how noticeable is the Super charger whine with your cut outs closed?

I got so much done at the time of install I couldn't tell you. Best to call LMS and get a flate rate install. The blower whine really isn't too noticeable at all. Especially with cutouts open. Closed you can barely hear it. Hard for me to say since I'm in the car too. From the front I guess you could hear it well, not from the back though.

love that supercharger!!!! i am a subscriber to high performence pontiac and the 1 issue had this supercharger item in there on a gas motor that produced around 900 horses. i have a 2001 t/a which i blew a hole in the block but just picked up a brand new ls1 and i am hopin to get somewhere around 500 - 600 horses and am gonna go with the magna charger along wit afermarket parts on the motor was wonderin how u feel about that magna charger? sounds BADASS by the way nice t/a!!!

@RedMaple02WS6TA define loud whine it whines pretty loud but it doesnt get on your nerves i love the sound if dont want it to whine that much dont put a smaller pully on it if you have loud exhuast it mixes together an aslong as your not pedal to the metal its fairly faint on the whine but once you stomp it it whines like a pist off baby like he said if you have cutouts its not that bad but if your like me an have just a system with no cutouts its kinda loud mines quiet until i get on it

@miasma19 this is a root style supercharger just like the 03/04 svt cobras thats why i love it cause the power isnt like stairs on the dyno graph like the prochargers an the vortec supercharger there more of a turbo setup than the magnacharger plus the peek power on this mod is striaght up while the others kinds have to build kinda like a turbo works but this they dont really make it for the trans am they have to do alot of work to clear it all but its a badd ass mod i know alot on it ilookit up

@miasma19 he got the S60 probly from strange enginenering cause i got the same one an thats where i got mine at an the magnacharger i got mine at MTI racing thats probly where he got his depending on where you live there would be a MTI around like i live in GA so i have to go to meriatta GA to MTI racing to get it f you want to buy the supercharger it will be around $6500 for them to install it it will be around $8500 kinda pricey but worth it an the rear end with be around $2500

@joblo1978 Wow nice! I have a 99 Formula A4 with 2.73 gears in it. I figured I'd probably need to beef up the trans/rear if I ever went with a top mount supercharger, as well as a more roomy hood. Thanks for the info though!

@recniabsal I was asking what model of the supercharger, you do know magnacharger makes different models of superchargers right? don't be a smart ass son.
