This is a responsorial psalm for Christian worship. I am a music minister and one of the psalm music writers for my Catholic church. The refrain melody of the psalm is provided by the "Sunday's Word" misselette published by GIA publications. As a psalm music writer, I write the melody for the verses and create guitar chord accompaniment for the refrain and verses. This particular psalm is Psalm 126. verses 1-6.
DD: guitar; vocals; drums. Photography by Allie.
This is my first attempt at using a Yamaha YDD 60 electronic drum machine. I am using a fixed drum pattern as the basic backing drum beat and playing drums myself for several other patterns and sounds. I am using Band In A Box Power Tracks Pro Audio computer software to copy and paste consecutive segments of my drumming to create a continuous rhythm (since I am not really yet a drummer who can keep a continuous rhythm throughout the song.)
Good job DD!
I actually just purchased a device which plugs into my PC and allows me to record up to four tracks at once. It came bundled with Cubase LE4 software which allows you post process (cut and paste, etc...). I was feeling funny about posting a video of something I created using this rig, but now I guess I will. ;-)
