Mega Man X2: Serges Fight 1, No Upgrades & X Buster Only

Here are some tips:
-It's really not a very difficult battle if you can just avoid his mines and running into him, because one of his green bullets only does one bar of damage to X.
-You can get rid of ever having to deal with his mines by attacking right before he tries to place one. This will stun him and he won't place the mine.
-You can dodge his green bullets by remembering a specific location where it's safe, and going there when he attacks. The safe spot I used was just behind his original location before each attack. If you run there each time he'll never touch you.
-As you can see, you can attack him just as he gets up after being stunned, and stun him again. Near the end of the battle I was actually able to prevent him from doing anything at all. However, it seems you have to get lucky and his shield has to be in just the right rhythm for this to work indefinitely.
-As with most Mavericks of X2, a dashing (or dash-jumping) regular shot does two bars of damage instead of one. However, it's hard to hit him with regular shots unless he's already been stunned a bit.
