  • @mgrant7209 she isn't doing what correctly? Wearing a headscarf that is by no way property of Islam? Let us not forget that the headscarf was in use LONG before Mohammed (PBUH). If she is happy to cover her head then leave her be, who are you to judge? That is Allah's place not yours.

  • @umthalatha FALSE...this is the woman who is covering her head so men don't just look at her sexually. HIJAB by definition...

  • @MENCADO look at her why hijab video it explains why she wears it you dont have to be muslim to wear it i know a girl who has cancer and doesnt even believe in god and she wears it so she feels normal because she has no hair

  • oh all of you who are saying she not wearing hijab right or what ever she has a video were she says shes not muslim she wears it because she burns easy in the sun and hijab is just the arabic word for head scarf back then almost every one wore it to cover in some form

The question of yours to which I responded was that of what is WRONG with finding silent dignity in covering up the body. In my reply what I sought to point out is that if every person's body ALREADY HAS dignity, then it would - therefore - be WRONG (not morally, just factually) for anyone to believe that covering the body provides dignity.

  • @MENCADO I have not said that there is something undignified in the naked body, I have said that some feel more dignified in covering that up in public. I am not saying what is right or wrong in that, I certainly do not wear head coverings but for some there is a dignity in such dress and for those that feel that way it is meaningful to wear it no matter what religion they follows.

You commented that, "Wearing a headscarf that is by no way property of Islam..."

There appears to be some confusion in that what is only a simply headscarf has been called (both by some among those who claim to be Muslim and also among those who do not assert that same claim) "hijab" - rather than headscarf.

  • @Venefica82

You commented: "Some find a silent dignity in covering up their body. What is wrong with that?"

That there (presumably) is anything UNDIGNIFIED in any human body's nakedness is a negative belief, and is one that has inspired the acquiring of body image issues within an incalculable number of individuals.

  • If you are not Muslim (if you do not have all of those which are included as parts among the set of Islamic beliefs), then whatever you may be wearing may look LIKE , feel like, or even be MISTAKEN FOR hijab, but it is in fact NOT hijab.

Pretending to be wearing hijab is not the same thing as is ACTUALLY wearing hijab.
