My Blue Head Pionus parrot babies are weaned and ready to go to their new homes :) They weigh in at 239 grams (band 5) and 224 grams (band 6). The younger (band 6) is still the more vocal, and the older (band 5) is beginning to try to talk! Thank you for watching my babies grow =)

  • wow they look alot more cute there than when they were babys, baby birds are really freaky looking

  • i saw a really cute crow in the backround your birds are so cute

  • awesome stuff

  • haha, the smaller one still makes the same laughing sound as when he was this little. Did you know btw that hand-raised parrots (but also for example, pigs and cows) can preform copulation behaviour to humans? I know that you had to hand-raise them because of their mother (u said so in one of ur comments earlier), so ur not to blame. But i was wondering if they will preform this behaviour. Could u post a comment when they do? (no idea when they get sexually mature)

  • So sweet! I have a blue-headed Pionus who is almost 3 years old and she still makes the 'baby pionus' sounds sometimes when I clip her nails!

  • o sht they totally look like a different species

  • are you fine with him making that noise for his whole life???
