#400 is a 4-4-2 Atlantic Class 1:4 scale Steam Engine.
This is a view of the engine climbing over the top of the hill and passing the station.
The train is located on West Grand Traverse Bay in Traverse City, MI. The train operates on a single loop track approximatly 1/2 mile long located next to Clinch Park Marina, the Open Space, and the beach, where the zoo use to be.
The City just voted to not include the train at Clinch Park.

@2102FAN The City decided to keep the train and to redesign Clinch Park with the train so the train is not for sale. It was a big, pleasant surprise when the City decided to keep the train on September 12th.

My dad and I led the complete rebuild of the locomotive and cars and she has been running great since 2005.
I have been told that the dept of parks and rec is in charge of the train and they make the decisions about it, yet I know for a fact that they did not decide to remove it from Clinch Park. The Bay Front Planning committee decided it did not fit their idea of a multi-generational park and have not said why they think that.
The Traverse City politics have killed the train.

This is the last year for the train. The Bay Front Planning committee removed the train from the Clinch Park plans (construction will start this fall) with little or no discussion according to commissioner Jim Carruthers and Gary Howe. No one else on the Bay Front (T. Michael Jackson, Jennifer Jaffee, Nate Elkins, Michael Borer, Rick Shimmel and Russ Soyring) have responded to inquiries about the train.
