@Getterzinger I watched all 49 episodes and i worked all of them out on my own LONG before they happened.

The only thing i even found mildly surprising was that the Devil Gundam gained super powers from vaginas.

Jesus you act like i insulted your mom or something just because i disagree with you about a cartoon.

But when you spout bullshit like "without a single surprising twist in the whole thing", it's my job to correct you so that other viewers who are visiting this page don't get the facts wrong about G Gundam. Hate the twists if you want, but to outright deny them means you haven't watched the show, or you weren't paying any attention at all.

G Gundam was never a super robot show. It just happened to be a mixture of wuxia and robots and super robot =/= wuxia.

If you were actually surprised by anything in G Gundam i feel deeply sorry for you.

The other series were not so transparent about being a toy commercial and seemed to put entertainment value ahead of having the main character fight a different brightly colored transforming enemy every week.

Of course it is a goddamn super robot show that one is not even worth arguing about its just a super robot show with karate elements.

What super robot craze? G Gundam was made that way because it's a homage to the wuxia genre. There was nothing inherently super about it.

@Getterzinger The plot was predictable, convoluted and terrible without a single surprising twist in the whole thing.

The Devil Gundam, Master Gundam, the Shuffle Alliance and the God Gundam were really cool mechs but most of the other mechs were really stupid ideas simply made up to sell toys.

The whole thing was pretty much a cash in on the super robot craze at the time that failed to do anything interesting with concept.

I loved the show when i was a kid but it hardly holds up for me today.

@doctabaldhead G Gundam was awesome. Shut the fuck up. But even then, the concept of G Gundam was forced onto him due to money hungry Sunrise executives. They basically canned all of his designs for the show, and even though he himself thought it was terrible idea, he actually made the show better than what it was by introducing the dark gundam and a decent plot to it.

@KawaiiDesuNekoBCSK I have to agree for the most part although he also directed G Gundam which is one of the worst mech shows that i have ever seen

I have watched quite a bit of his better stuff since we started this whole thing so i have to concede that this show probably would have turned out better if they just let he do his own thing with it.

Killing off Musashi has become a bit of a tradition by this point so it would have been sort of neat to let him live for once.
