I think the idea of HD DVD was a lot smarter because from my understanding the technology was just the right step up for people to use it? I don't care for blu-ray and have seen the picture quality, but it's just too darn expensive and the idea they are trying to REPLACE DVD's with something like that, also owned by another company, is atrocious to me when the other works so well. Plus DVD's are what replaced VHS
