Richard Pryor was the funniest comedian I have ever heard. He inspired an entire generation of comedians black white or otherwise. "Richard Pryor Live!" stands as one of the greatest stand-up routines of all time.

i found him entertaining and funny long before i actually knew who he was, e.g. for his role in superman III and other movies, his distinctive goofy facial expressions and inept behavior that made him appear cluesless but funny in a special way. great guy!! R.I.P from germany Mister "Supern***er" :)

Richard Pryor could be funny when he was dry. But his drug-fueled manic routines were annoying.
He could've done better, but he spent his career trying to look stupid.
