I just got uverse. So far nobody seems to know how to get it working with my Sony KP-53HS10 TV.

  • I switched back to Comcast. My picture is perfect again! At some point when Uverse upgraded the software on the cable box it had this problem less often - but still with many quick screen changes or if the scene went to full black the TV and cable box would lose synch.

I think that Uverse technology just doesn't work with the older rear projection HD TVs. But it was easier to go back to Comcast than to buy a flat screen TV.

  • The Tech recommended getting new service or a new TV.

" If that doesn't work, it may be time to look for a new TV (or a new TV service provider)."

BTW, I did have a tech come out. He said that there was nothing he could do. "The service was working fine".

  • It seems like almost anyone who goes to AT&T from another cable TV provider. Switches back to their old Cable TV services in a matter of weeks or so. I've had my AT&T U-Verse activated on May 25th of 2011. On June 13th, 2011. I already have an installation appointment with my old TV provider Cox Communications. In my own personal experiences w/ both Cox and AT&T. Cox is indeed the lesser of the two evils. Good riddance AT&T.

  • I've got the same problem. They've changed the box twice, but the problem is still there.

The problem is only with Uverse, but they can't detect it. DVD's and videogames work fine.

  • I'm a U-Verse Tech. It really looks like a issue with the TV. Normally if there was some form of U-Verse quality issue, you would notice pixilations.
