I haven't been moved so much in my life... Verrett really is a tremendous artist. Acting/Singing/Looks, she had it all! It really was as if she was living this!

I have been comparing all interpretations & hers is the most fatal sounding of all, so irreparable, hopeless, an inevitable end. I can feel her interpretation, it is so real as if she is meeting her death in this night's performance. Now, that's as real as it could get. Shirley's version is most perfect, the music flows exactly how the "heart thinks" & how the "mind breathes" if it were to face death ahead.

@sonicesocool It doesn't sound french. No reason for Carmen with a dark voice like that. Migenes was a lot better with the right style
