RSD / CRPS Awareness Video

Abbreviated RSD Awareness Video. Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) affects over 5 million children and adults. It is an extremely painful nervous system disorder that can be brought on with a simple nerve injury. Left untreated, it grows worse and can even spread. If treated early, without the first few months, it can be reversed. If not, it can become a lifelong disability. This invisible illness needs recognition so people will seek medical attention at the first sign of symptoms. However, most people have never heard of it--including doctors--help us change that.

Also, It's recognized by Social Security as a disability, but not by the VA. Thousands of troops have returned home with this disability and are not getting VA treatment or benefits because it's not included in the VA rating tables. RSD was first documented during the Civil War. as Causalgia. MS is rated 40%, Fibromylagia 40%, and Migraines 50%. RSD, the greatest form of pain known to medical science, is rated at 0% by the VA

I have RSD too. There needs to be more research and awareness done about this horrible disease. The brave men and women in uniform are heros and the VA should be ashamed by rhe way they treat them.
