""Homeward Bound" is a 1966 song by Simon and Garfunkel, produced by Bob Johnston and recorded on December 14, 1965. Paul Simon wrote the song at Widnes railway station while waiting for his train. The song describes his longing to return home, both to Brentwood, Essex, England, and to return to the United States. The song debuted on Billboard Hot 100 Chart on February 12, 1966, peaking at #5. It remained on the charts for 12 weeks."

Talent is not restricted by era, it is restricted by closed minds.

I agree with you, but at the same time, I still feel that the best music comes from the era in which classic rock originated from :) That's merely my opinion.

Oh my God. I grew up singing this song in guitar during my high school days in the 70's. I thought this was a 70 song, only found out this was a 60' song during the times of the Beatles invasion. Thanks so much for the upload.

this is poetic,mesmerizing,profound..there is nothing deep about today's music.today's music is the product of Commercial Capitalism, it's about money and fame lacking the substance thereof. it's so damn pathetic.!! they don't make them like this anymore.

Mine too. I don't think my mind is closed but I struggle to find artists now that I could compare here Meaningful lyrics are at a premium to start with; never mind the music. Mostly I hate.

I love this song. I also think at this stage they hugely admired one another: Tom and Jerry. They were mates. They had to be to produce what they did. They tired of one another for a while (after Bridge Over Troubled Water). Art expressed it well in a TV programme recently. I think they both regretted the split because together they were magic and they knew it. Their voices were very different but both good - Art was a light touch, Paul stronger. The competition is made up.
