I'm actually surprised they went into trouble of animating and singing an end to this. They couldn't seriously think someone would actually play this through.

Actually you wanna know what? The ending actually makes sense to me. By what measure could he actually escape from Limbo? He would simply die once more and return to Limbo.

The ending shows the main character uttarly falling to the madness of the world as the fact that he may never leave gets to him. It could have been handled better but it is really how I think it should have ended.

Except for that non-sense sequel hook. "Lets overwrite what you just went through"...
