I use this method without the water bowl, just hold the fruit carefully when you split it apart and you won't have any accidents, it's easy. It made me cringe to see you pour all that pomegranate juiced water away.. what a waste.

Just slice it in half and flip it over and hit the back with an ice cream spoon to knock out the seeds, with will take about a minute...enjoy.
