Luckily and ironically, the Safety Truck driver had brought an extra pair of pants. Barnhart just wears a diaper now so it was no biggie. Well, it was a biggie, but he was all set.

Nice shot, can you say what camera did you used? Sound does not seem so distorted as you would expect given the loudness of those cars!

@SpecialistBR It is actually just a Canon Powershot SX130IS. At the last minute I decided to switch it to video in case there was a pile up in turn 1. Guess it is one of those times where low tech did a better job.

As I commented on Warhammer's post, I was seated in Grandstand 8 between turns 2 and 3, which is where that truck was stationed. It popped out on the track (it had to actually make a u-turn) with its sirens blasting the very moment Race Control called out "Green! Green! Green!". I thought for sure that it wasn't going to end well.
