A short film I made regarding a kid with vivid imagination. I did this for a Film class project. Did not turn out quite how I planned. I spent good two months writing a script, drawing out complicated sequences and testing the camera for hours. My original idea was to adapt "Where the Wild Things are" and shoot it with Terrence Malick influenced style.
But by the time we started shooting the film, we had so many problems and did not even have enough time to shoot 1/3 of the script. I also realized I can't quite handle directing and shooting at same time, which explains some of the bad camera work. It also does not help that the basic plot does not come across well...

I have to give you credit for a super great attempt. These were my observations. The lighting was wrong everywhere in the house. With good audio it would have been a lot better and the mom has to go. Everything she said did not sound natural at all, it sounded all fake. The blood on the shot on his back needed to look real. Oh and it needed some serious color correction. The directing and camera shots were great and creative! hope to see more movies from you!

to be frank, it was good. but to tell you something about the secrets of movie directing would be: avoid the manual zooming fromyour camera, if you want close up focus, be near them. excessive manual zoomin really disturbs the audiences. and also try to take the same shots with different angles as this will aware the audiences about the environment. i just wanted to give this tip. anyway nice work.
