@whole27 You have summed it up perfectly - a 20stn plus of muscle laid on top in full mount - Silva has commented he was surprised how much FE took. Not only that Silva was gassed and FE would hv finished in 3rd for sure IF his eye was'nt closed.

@arana001 That is the exact reason he is liked by so many - he always brings the fireworks - although I do agree - certainly in his losses has seemed in too much of a rush to finish. Each to their own but I feel this style more entertaining (be it less or more effective?) and more exciting than a FIGHTER - who goes into a cage with the intention of laying on a soft comfy matt for 5 rounds hoping to just score a cpl more points than his opponent to obtain the win.

If there's one thing Fedor has that is lacking in MMA it's his 'I don't give a fuck' attitude and going for the kill as soon as the bell rings.

@deebob48 yes.. he is :) he was really good in this fight, but fight depends on luck too etc.. I dont tell, that it was luck from dans side.. but Fedor was really good in this fight :)

@tirimut well when u consider how quickly Bigfoot who always mounts guy and beats them that way, knocks guy out from that position or makes guys tap....the length of time Fedor was down there was unreal. Not many guys would have survived that beating without getting KO'd or been aware enough to prevent a submission.

Fedor's eye was fucked up...i think his orbital bone was broken. Name one other instance of a bigger beating any fighter took in MMA history??

@whole27 Biggest beating?No way.Yes,he took a lot of punishment,but protected himself,avoided a lot ot punches,escaped submissions and tried one.Maybe,just maybe a 10-8 round (more likely 10-9),but not the biggest beating.

damn, this was right before the biggest beating in mma history. Fedor showed us another great side to him this night...he could take the biggest beating. Silva always gets top control and beats his opponents like that but no one ever lasted that long on bottom with those fists coming down like that and Fedor took it for 4-5 minutes! Unreal
