Grass is not forming on the dirt I placed on top. Does it have to be on a certain level? Mine is at Level 76.

also other then signs you can use laters as well after all mobs cant climb but they actuly stop the water as well tho i am unsure if they are safe from the wrath of the lavas sparks

just place a sign on the wall like you would do normally. then place a sign on top of that sign! then you will have it placed like you can see in the video!

lol built this on my smp server and then realized that I needed peaceful to be on for it to work efficiently. Sigh guess ill be clearing some caves.

@Freekling Mobs think the signs are solid blocks so they walk into them and then fall. They're not completely necessary but it helps speed up how soon the mobs walk off the edges.

@edwincoder You have to be standing at least 20 blocks away from the platform before anything will ever spawn there.

How high above the ground is the grass area where they spawn? Thanks. I'm attempting to build this legit.

@slatBANG For the spawning to work, you need to make it at least 20 meters above where you'll be standing. Mine just happens to be 32 meters above sea level (level 95).
