Jonathan spent many years in Israel, and much of his family still lives there. Its from those personal experiences that he concludes that a strong two-state solution is the only way out of the crisis Israel and Palestine find themselves in. To that end, Prime Minister Netanyahu must stop the construction in East Jerusalem, and most importantly, end the blockade of the Gaza Strip.

  • Jonathan,

Thank you for your principled views rooted in justice and human rights. I wish we had 10,000 of you running for Congress! I hope you get elected and show other Democrats what it means to take a principled stand and ignore the lobbyists and nay-sayers. I think many Americans are hungry for honest politicians even if they don't always agree with them.

  • @peteskitoo Thank you very much!

  • End the occupation...split Canaan & Israel..and split capital ,,make it look like yin-yang..do that first and then we'll see about voting for ya' =]

  • If I were american I should vote for you, Mr Jonathan Tasini !

  • At least this guy is calling for an end to the siege of Gaza. But perspective: We should sympathize that his family members died fighting for a racist imperialist agenda? One died fighting with terrorist group Haganah, one with IDF in the '73 war. He supports the two-state solution, meaning: Israel remains a Jewish-exclusivist state on stolen Palestinian land, and the refugees stay out. International law, UN res 194, and basic morality and decency dictate they return. I'm not impressed.

  • You will succeed for doing the right thing for

all and deprived people of the world

  • At the candidate's website, part of his philosophy on Israel-Palestine is "You cant ask people to give up their dreams." What the hell does that mean? If your dreams involve ethnic cleansing and genocide, which is how the Zionist movement makes its dreams come true, that's a problem. Apartheid Israel has made a two-state solution impossible. No justice, no peace. How about the U.S. end military aid to Israel in compliance with the US Arms Export Control Act?

  • Two states with one big state which we know is capable of mass destruction, telling the other state what they can and cannot do, no way, now way, Palestine has to be returned to its former state and those good jews who throw away their guns can stay if they are NICE, gettit, that is what we are fighting for, that and that alone, no jew will tell the Palestinians what to do

  • Sounds like a good man and there isn't many in washington now days.

  • Bravo! I salute your honesty and bravery. I am sure the hate brigade will be out soon, if it is not already.

I am only sorry I am no longer a resident of NYS and not able to vote for you.

    Patricia Ann Abraham
