Here's an interesting one... in the early 1970s, Pringles were only available in select markets. At the time they were called Pringles Newfangle Potato Chips... once they went national, the "Newfangle" tag was dropped and they were simply called Pringles. This is more than likely one of the very first Pringles ad.

Pringles - Newfangle - Potato Chips. Every single Pringles potato chip is a perfect - potato chip. Their not broken, crisp and crunchy too ! The canister keeps them that way for you. Pringles - Newfangle - Potato Chips. This was the 70's jingle.

I have always loved pringles ever since I was a kid. They have changed some of the recipies and made them thinner. i remember they used to come out of the can whole and no crumbs and no broken pieces. But alas, as the companies has always done and cut back on expense, they have also cut back on the chip so it is thin and cheap. But, I will still eat them cause I love them. LOL Great capture, and thank you for a time warp to my childhood.

I think Pringles initial intention was to make tennis balls. But on the day that the rubber was supposed to show up, a big truckload of potatoes arrived. But Pringles is a laid back company. They said "F**k it. Cut em up.]
