I heard that Jeanne Calment, the oldest known person in history (1875 - 1997), participated in one of these films by The Lumière Brothers when she was 20. Does anybody have some information about this?
that is not the first film in the history of cinema. in 1892, the Lumiere brothers filmed some scenes, even though they were never screened or presented to the public.
Wow, really? I visited the Lumiere brothers Museum, located in the house they lived in Lyon, and it is not mentioned. The date for cinema invention si always mentioned as "1895", for instance in Wikipedia & books...
