The Crayola Crayon Portraits Project

Here is a slideshow of some of the portraits I drew of friends using only Crayola Crayons. Most of the subjects are people I sang with in the UAB Concert Choir.

I decided early on that the subjects would be chosen by the models themselves as they commented on the previously finished portraits. I did this by posting the originals on facebook. However, some people were simply chosen because I liked them.

The drawing at 0:28 is my sister. She is how the project got started. I didn't have any money to buy her a birthday present that year but I did have a box of crayons.

I decided to end the project in August of 2007.

These are great, the best part about them, in my opinion, is the hair, it looks very realistic =D
