2. so many things to say about this film- alice faye was good singing in the low register, which was good for some torch songs she did famously in later pictures.
she had a 5 year window of success before being overtaken by betty grable because grable was a better dancer and looked better, even though not as a good an actress.
the plot in this movie paralleled a lot of true incidents in the movie business in those days.
