No true. Itreduces load on grid if power is consumed locally. It must be done in large scale, which 200,000 units should do enough. The bad side is they reduced the amout of Srec's they will buyfor a year or so and Srec's have dropped to under $200,, were about $500 6 months ago. That will stop some projects form starting for a while.

@jackphillips1953 Such bad sighting is common in stunt programs like this. These are intended only for projecting a 'green' image, as these generate nothing compared to real sources of energy.

This was an excellent idea, but poorly supervised in some areas. Some are under trees or not facing south or under other obstacles. Hopefully efficiency is monitored and panels are moved to better locations or are re-aligned.
