It is... is there anyway around that? I cant even root to flash a new kernel. to try and fix. This is the first droid x I got. Any suggestions or am I screwed on this one

I don't know of a way around it if it won't let you bypass it

I bought a droid x today and factory reset it but it keeps asking me to make a special call. I'm not on verizon and am trying to flash it. Is there a way around making the special call to get back into the phone. It's totally not detectable. Thanks

you need a pc or there is a way to do it with a mac... its call an sbf linux disc search for that on google

google search droid x activation bypass. I believe you touch all four corners starting in the top right corner and working clockwise from there

I can't download the sbf file because megaupload is shut down, and I can't find it anywhere else. anyone know where I can get it?

ok I found the solution for future reference if your caught at the activation screen on droid x tap the 4 corners in the black part of the screen top left top right bottom right bottom left it will put you back to home screen and you can use on wireless network.
