Israeli Occupying forces attacked Naksa day demonstration in Qalandiya 05062011

Hundreds of Palestinians, together with some Israelis and internationals demonstrated at the Qalandia checkpoint as they marked the 44th anniversary of Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, known as the Naksa Day. The protest was violently repressed by the Israeli army who used tear gas, rubber coated bullets, sound bombs and a stink spray, a noxious water-based chemical spray, as well as pepper spray in the face of demonstrators who attempted to stop the struck spreading the stink spray.
Clashes lasted several hours. Israeli soldiers took positions inside the refugee camp and on the roof tops.
Two Palestinians were arrested and dozens were injured.
