  • GREAT IDEAS AND DESIGN! I am impressed at how carefully you considered the needs of a family and conservation of energy without losing sight of the financial aspect. Makes me want to move back....where can I sign up?

  • those houses look pretty big (like unnecessarily large)

    $150k is a lot

foam is a great insulator, but expensive to the environment (don't believe the reuse foam myths)...

  • Hemp building products are the new wave of building products in europe. Maybe thats why they have the largest harvest in history. The new plywood is available but I haven't found a manufacturer for beams as of yet. Will let you know.check out Eartheasy.com

  • This is his son who graduated with a materials engineering degree. I gave you the thumbs down as a joke, but was wondering where I could find something about hemp beams.

  • Hemp can produce beams 5 times stronger then steel!!

  • I don't think hemp products can pass building codes for 150 mile per hour wind resistance, if I'm wrong let me know. How does hemp do in high humidity environments like New Orleans and termites, do they like it!?

  • *****

  • what? no big-foot?

    good work guys!

    i'll be there shortly! yay!

  • Use hemp products that will be far more safe and beneficial then your styrofoam and steel. That one product will do what all your other products will do. There's far more simple answers then the way this is being presented. But I do applaud your fantastic efforts.
