Q: Is 80gb better than 40gb online?
A: No in terms of performance and online play they are the EXACT SAME thing. What I meant about the online thing is more hard drive space means more room for downloads. Trust me the hard drive runs out so fast you won't even notice!

Q: What are the main differences between the ORIGINAL 40gb and the ORIGINAL 80gb
A: the 40gb now aka as 80gb and 160 gb core has NO backwards compatibility, only 2 usb slots, no flash card readers and no chrome trim (shiny trim)
The original 80gb (which I dont know if is still sold on stores) has backwards compatibility, 4 usb slots, flash card readers, and chrome trim. Thats the ONLY main difference.

Q: So does the new 80gb and 160gb have backwards compatibility?

Q: Whats the difference between sixaxis and dualshock 3
A: the sixaxis is lighter and has no vibration function, it also says sixaxis on the controller. the dualshock 3 is heavier has vibration and has dualshock 3 and sixaxis labeled on it

Hi, i am living in Europe Sweden. And i dont know if the 80 gb there has 4 usb -ports and that it is backwards cabability. In sweden there is a rare system that is the 60 gb ps3.

the only difference between the 40 and the new 80 or even 160 or 250 is memory thats it,its the old 80 that has 4 usb and is B.C.im on my 40 gig right now and i love this damn thing

i bought the 80(gb) and got the elite 120gb but 80gb costed $800 because i bought it when it first came out and same for the elite but the price was $450 i paid over $1,ooo in 1 day
