Sorry for my crappy camera, this is my new bike. I don't like the high idle-RPM of the injection and I want to tune it myself and without computer. Therefore i put on a S&S Super-E carburetor and an Altmann AMM-P3 ignition. Now everything is adjustable within minutes regardless which exhaust or air-filter I want to use. I will later do the 1200cc conversion and there will be no need for remapping the EFI module etc. just a change of carburetor jet. The AMM-P3 ignition is also fully adjustable from stock to turbo ... bike runs awesome ...

  • so you have no problems with the bike at all? i have always wanted to get that one lung sound from a new bike! please tell me more! how's the throttle response? gas mileage? ETC????

    changed to a Super-B carburetor (shown in my other video). The Super-E was okay, but not as far as good as the Super-B.

    no problems at all, throttle response great, gas mileage similar. I'll think you'll be able to get best mileage with a Keihin if you want to trade some power ...

  • Nice work. I got a '08 nightster, do you think that the s&s kit you used fit my bike as well?

    I want to convert it to carb and I'm looking for the options :-)

  • @NubsWithGuns My power commander and ignition timing may have a bit to do with it, but that bike has one healthy sounding lope, I like the tempo of that idle, not too fast, not too slow

  • I just did the swap on my nightster I stroked my motor and got high lift cams I had the zippers thunder Max with auto tune it ran like shit even after 5 custom maps and dyno pulls after I Carb it it runs great smoke every gear now what a difference fuck injection

  • I guess I don't hear the difference. My efi nightster idles much lower than that, and it's not a carb at all, I guess each ecm just idles differently depending on altitude/mix/temp...

  • was thinking of doing something similar to my nightster want to get rid of all the bs under the seat how did you do it did you have to change anything in the tank
