I wouldnt say they are the greatest many came before them and more will follow. But they are damn good at what they do and you can't take that away from them. I'm not a hater I'm a fan and just being honest.

@MrMaley It's because Metallica preferred to experiment with other styles than just the straight-forward thrash they were already known for. People dislike change, so they labeled them 'sellouts.'
Yet if they had simply just kept playing the same music over and over, these same people would now be calling them 'stale.' Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
