re-upload. Andy becomes Elvis at" The Andy Kaufman Special" (also known as "Andy's Funhouse"). it was shot in July 1977. (before Elvis died). Andy was the first person who did Elvis impersonation on TV in the 70s. He was also Elvis' own favourite.
@ElvisMan35 A true fan, Andy was. Wonderful story, I´ll try to find the book. I knew that Elvis digged his impersonation, but not the other facts, thanks man. I think, as you do that Andy´s impression was a tribute to the King. But I tell you man, Andy could perform before a crowd, the singing, the moves, the feel were all there. To tell you the truth, I don´t like Elvis impersonations, but Andy´s was something else, I wouldn´t mind to be able to see him in concert....Best regards.
@PortusCale100 Elvis was a fan of Andy Kaufman's impersonations too: "According to Mike Wallace, Elvis liked Andy the best. Andy's impression of Elvis was reverential. A young Kaufman had, after all, written a book about Elvis, modestly titled God, hitchhiked to Las Vegas, camped out in the basement pantry of the casino where Presley was performing, and ambushed the King en route to his private elevator to the penthouse. "
Man, the world needs Andy Kaufman NOW more than ever....
@Brawler484 Sorry man, but that was not Elvis singing, it was Andy all the way! I am a big Elvis Presley fan and I think this impersonation is so great, let´s remember that the true man himself was very funny in his concerts. One genius goofing on another...Great upload.
Andy was NOT the first person to do Elvis impersonations, there have been Elvis impersonators since the sixties, that's just how famous Elvis was.

Andy Kaufman showed the entire world the fine line which divides genius from madness.

@Brawler484 What a stupid remark. What part of "imitation'' didn't you understand? It is Andy Kauffman doing the singing.
