Mini tribute to Ricardo Montalban who passed away today at the age of 88. Ricardo made a couple of Sword & Sandal films, including Queen of Babylon, co-starring Rhonda Fleming.

These are some highlights of Ricardo in Queen of Babylon. Though the voice is dubbed here (but not Rhonda's, which is odd) we still can see what a dashing, handsome actor he was. He'll be missed.

I've never watched this movie before (is it Italian and American?), so it's really great seeing him in an unusual role, since he didn't use to appear in epic movies. And with Rhonda Fleming, one of the most beautiful Hollywood stars! Thanks a million, peplumz, and I agree with you: he'll be missed very much!

According to the book "Lash! The 100 Great Scenes of Men Being Whipped in the Movies," Ricardo Montalban was one of the few actors to suffer both an on-screen chest whipping and a back whipping. (His back felt the lash in "The Saracen Blade.")
