or read below:

The idea for this mildly confusing movie came from the song by Natasha Bedingfield, Unwritten. Overall, the general premise and overarching idea of the movie is this: that sometimes, we create such a life for ourselves in our minds that we forget the necessity of actually venturing outside ourselves and living that life. The movie is roughly separated into four different story/scripts. The first is read by myself, and the three after that are read by my good friend Shoshana. The first script is the most autobiographical of all four, and tells the story of the author, instead of telling stories that are ostensibly supposed to be BY the author. The salient point of the first script is the idea that the author is dreaming of all the things her life could be. The following three stories are meant to be written by the author, instead of about her. They demonstrate the idea of the author writing a perfect world around herself, and, to a degree, writing herself into the stories she creates. As with most fiction, the fiction inside the arc of this story is a mishmash of the dreams of the author with the creation of her own mind. The first story correlates to the dreaming of adventure there is a little bit of an autobiographical element in it, but it fits more with the girl at the beginning of the script; the dream future section is towards the end. The second story is (again, vaguely) a dream future of success. Again, partly autobiographical, but hidden in layers. The final story (even more vague, in my opinion) ventures even further into the realm of what it would be like to live your life simply through a story, and then trying to fruitlessly craft your own life out of a story. I used clips from various fictional stories/movies to further illustrate the idea of living within fiction. Also, I used four different protagonists because the stories are supposed to be three separate stories written by the author, about three different people, illustrating the fictional fulfillment of three different wishes, along with the author herself. After the final clip, the final taped scene is the author reading, and coming upon a very apropos line from a favorite book. It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that (conveniently circled in black ink..). As the scene fades to black, the assumption is that the author has left the world of her own creation, and ventured into the outside world in order to live her life to the fullest. The quote I go to seek a Great Perhaps comes from the book Looking for Alaska by John Green, and embodies the spirit of adventuring out into the world, ready to roll with the punches and enjoy what tomorrow will bring.
