  • What cant be seen in this short video, or this mockup is the utility of the Helmet Mounted Display System, although the lack of a Heads Up Display is a clue. The HMD system unifies the avionics and weapons system in this aircraft. Young folks who are good at video games will feel right at home.

  • But is it capable of defeating the current models of the Death Star?

  • No analog indicators... that is strange. They should always have basic analog instruments in case if the electronics fail.

  • As long as you can make the boxes on monitor LARGE, I think you can. To where you can take up half the screen if you wanted.

  • It isnt hard. Reading gadgets (monitor now)? Numbers mean?

Helmet with its own HUD kinda helps out too now. Built in night vision. Pretty sweet.

  • Pedals feel like? Push toe or heel in?

Left is thrust and right is stick.

    Not hard haha.

You minimize certain stuff on the monitor too. Which I thought was cool. Just keep up certain "ones" up for dog fighting. Bomb runs should be easy too and keep up ground view or whatever to watch bombs.

  • flying ipod

  • @privateknez I saw an artificial horizon, but other than that I know what you mean.

  • @privateknez that all goes automaticly.. you also dont need to do the instruments.... and if it only fails when your plane gets hit by a missile, in which case you should eject anyway

  • So when will the computer do it all? When Skynet takes over.

  • @privateknez I bet the heads up display in the helmet is redundant to the cockpit in some way.
