Should Obama tax the rich to pay for health care?

House Democrats unveiled a health care proposal yesterday that includes raising taxes on the wealthy to pay for an overhaul of the system. Do you think thats fair? The White House says they may rely only on Democrats to push the legislation through Congress if Republicans dont offer their support soon. Should Democrats pass healthcare reform without any Republican support? If you have a choice between a public option and keeping your existing private plan, which will you choose?

I think we should all pay more tax. I know my bill isn't that bad. Tax the rich more? Absolutely, a few percent will not hurt them and their society becomes more stable, safer etc. We all end up paying for each others medical anyhow in higher premiums when hospitals have to care for people with no insurance. Us rich people make most of our money off of the middle and lower class. The smaller the middle class gets the less money the rich make. Now if we would all join a gym and get in shape!

We need some real investigations, don't just survey with a microphone. We shouldn't simply focus on insurance. Without training, resource development and compatible technology, we'll fail ourselves, our govt, and even our private sectors. Young people, don't just looking for a pay job. There will be a five to ten years of steep learning curve ahead of us. After the economy crash, we know couple of other things are more important than money for our future economy.

Don't tax the rich more they already pay for most things in the country. Just get off the milk bottle before Mommy and Daddy (the rich) leave the country. Over taxation in New York is driving out the rich in groves. I don't think you really want them to leave the county do you, like they are leaving New York.
