I'm pretty sure Romney's aide whispered "raise taxes" to help Romney out because the question was not specific. Politicians these days are real rusty on history, so it's highly likely that Mitt Romney had no idea what Reagan did to save Social Security.

Tim Russert didn't say that. He denied it and it was later confirmed by MSNBC by looking at the camera footage. By looking at the footage they also discovered it couldn't have been one of the candidates or moderators or mic'ed audience members either. The mic'ed audience members were also contacted by MSNBC and denied saying that. Now MSNBC's theory is that it was an unknown, unallocated mic in the audience. Very mysterious.

Reagain "saved" social security by doubling the tax and raising the retirement age. Fine. But don't forget he did this *after* he slashed income taxes on the rich and corporations. To make up for this lost revenue, he spends hundreds of billions of dollars from the social security trust fund. In other words, he spent retirement money to keep his tax cuts for the rich.

nah, you know, in school i had somebody do that to me and what happened was when the teacher asked a question a dude gave a different answer to me whispering in my ear [works on harder questions] but basically instinctually youre supposed to go with the dude giving you the answer. so, for me the answer was "cookies", or something like that. but it was embarassing cause i fell for it. thats my theory, someboy tried to trick him.
