Tragedy at Walmart: People Are Stupid

I read this morning about an employee of Wal-mart who was trampled by eager shoppers attempting to get to deals on TVs and digital cameras. You people are disgusting. Not only are you stupid enough to be suckered in by the possibility of saving a few measly dollars, you are also participating in the destruction of community and small business by supporting Walmart, a company whose business model is detrimental to our society every step of the way. Need additional information: Read "How Walmart is destroying America (and the World.)" or any other countless books on the subject. Everything Wamart does, from the way employees are treated to the sale of grey market goods, deceptive advertising, and beyond is horrible. You should not support Walmart. The argument that you are poor and need low prices is weak. First of all, very few items are actually better prices than other retailers, and further, there is a greater cost to supporting this business model. If you can not afford something, then you simply should not buy it until you can afford it.

If you have any respect for yourself, your neighbors, your friends... don't shop at Walmart.

Walmart does not destroy communities. The idiots who shop there do. As for lower prices Walmart price matches. So before you blame Walmart for this shit maybe you should know what you are talking about. And Walmart stores donate to their communities over $100,000 each year. How much have you donated to your community?

Walmart employees are unprofessional:

1) I told a walmart employee if they can find my mom by calling her name over the intercom. Her name is of Asian origin.

They laughed, busted out mock martial arts moves while saying my mom's name. I was shocked, said "Are you making fun of my mother's name?" They frowned, turned around, ignored me. Asked them again and they said "no." They paused and laughed again.

I work at a pharmacy and if we tried that we'd face severe consequences... god idiots.

@kokema1 I agree... I just can't wrap my mind around how someone can take away one's life just so they can buy a PS3 or some other item. I mean we don't live in an era and place (at least the USA that I know of) where we have to kill someone for resources anymore. There are so many nonviolent options to obtain things.

Besides we don't need as many materials as we think to live. American homes are so full of materials, compulsive hoarders like my mom are born. :/

I don't shop on Black Friday. I have yet to be shopping on Black Friday. If I ever went out on Black Friday it would be for something important that I really need such as diapers for my baby or whatever ... not a stupid tv or whatever. And I would NEVER trample over a person. What a sick and disgusting society we live in. I'd love to have every single person who stepped on the guy that day shot in the head for killing the poor guy.

At Walmart the prices are cheap and better. Dont blame walmart for the economy, blame the small businesses and other businesses that want to make money from ripoff prices. Maybe if some of these other business can sell their things at a fair price, they want have to continue blaming walmart.

Wal-mart generally does have lower prices pepsi at wegmans is 1.60 plus deposit at walmart pepsi is 80 cents. he does have a point though.
