We moved to Hastings 12 years ago and have joined in 11 processions. This is the best video of Jack in the Green we have seen, as it really captures the atmosphere of this gloriously eccentric and fabulously colourful event.

We thoroughly enjoyed the video of the bikers which we have never seen close up before, as we are so involved in watching 'Jack in the Green. Thanks for sharing this video with everyone. It's just like being there all over again. from Carol Ann Bolton.

It is celebrated around May Day weekend.

There are celebrations throughout the whole weekend. But, the actual processsion is held on the Monday morning. This year it will be on May 3rd.
