choppers are very complicated machines and you just cant hop in and drive off,turbine engines wont like that.plus you have a host of flight checks to complete.when things go wrong in helos you cant glide you fall. emergency or not safety of crew first!!! CERTAIN chip lights will ground the crew anyway.
