How long did it take him to do anything about the Iran Hostages? I grew up under the end of Carter's regime. Good riddance.

Isnt this the man that almost destroy this country with his political views and blindness, as far as I remember the country had the worst economic time during his government. I will be embarrassed if I was him and I will not be showing my face in front of a camera ever again.

Carter was an excellent president, people just don't see it. It was he who appointed Volker, it was his energy policies that allowed oil usage to go down during the mid 80's during the biggest boom since the 50's (made possible by Carter appointee, Volker), Carter was honest about the inflation, unlike Clinton and Bush and now Obama. Inflation in the late 70's was caused by Nixon closing the gold window and all the spending with Vietnam, Moon, Great Society... Carter wasn't thinking short term.
