OC-135, RC-135, and E-6 stationed at Offutt AFB doing touch and gos. OC-135 still has the old engines which is why it is a little louder than the other variants of the military version of the 707. It also leaves behind a lot of black smoke. The last aircraft is a C-5 Galaxy flying in for the 2008 Offutt airshow. We were stuck behind a van going 30 mph on a 50mph stretch of road!

  • curious, how'd you get access to the ATC radio?

  • @KatJax311 any police scanner will pick up ATC frequencies if you know the right one

  • It's a C-5...the C-17 is a lot smaller and has 9 foot winglets. It also has a whole hell of a lot less landing gear.

  • for fuck sake hold the camera other than that nice place

  • whole lotta shakin going on

  • The RC-135's features aren't just its nose, All though that is one of its most obvious features (looks like the nose of the Constellation / Bristol Britannia)

But it also has those big bulges on either side of the forward fuselage jam packed with EW equipment.

That last aircraft was for certain a C-5. Who ever thought it was a C-17 needs an eye test. As people have said the C-17 has huge winglets & has a more circular fuselage shape where as the C-5 has a more sort of triangular fuselage shape

  • the c-5 has the spookiest sounding engines ive ever heard. literally when i heard that, an image of the thing going down popped in my mind.

  • It would be nice if you stop shaking the camera. Hard to see the details.

  • Where is this in

  • Last one was a C-5.

  • Hey guys, wish you could be here in San Antonio Texas.. I live under the flight path of Lackland AFB & the 433 Air Lift Wing with all C-5's. In 2008, a C-5 training school was established at Lackland and these guys are training almost everyday. Also, the pilots of the 433rd have to have a certain amount of touch 'n' go's per month. If not they can't be deployed. I'm not kidding you, as I type this, the C-5 trainer is going over my house. I love the C-5, I grew up with the Galaxy.
