A montage from a recent world fusion performance by IHW.

This unique performance blended the earthy tribal movements of belly dance with the rythm-driven formality of Irish step dancing, for a one of a kind dance experience!

The guest dancer in these clips is Stephanie of the Ramsy School of Irish Dance.

This clip will remain up by request. Please note changed website details.

On all montages, we leave you the original soundtrack for each clip to truly appreciate the dance asthetic and the audience's interactions.

  • Hi. Nothing I can suggest directly- with the wealth of stunning fusion music around these days, you are likely to find bits and pieces in the strangest places. Arabic and Celtic music overlaps in some of its instrumentation, so there is lots of scope for any group that wants to offer something a little different in their CD's and concerts. We were dancing to a local-to-South-Africa group, DNA strings here. I would advise lots of listening and creative imaginings. Good luck!

  • Hi,

I am in British Columbia and am a belly dancer and Irish dancer; wonder if you have any music suggestions for me on great fusion music appropriate for blending these styles?'

  • Cool!!! I wish there were more performances like this.
