  • Unrestrained markets brought us the Great Depression?!?

Don't journalists get tired of knowing nothing?

How about comparing depression history with the history of the Fed Thom!?

  • If you let go of the agenda you will be able to let your guest speak.

  • Alex Epstine made lots of false claims about Peak Oil.

  • Thom Hartman is an idiot.

  • This kid is just a parrot and has no understanding of economics or economic history. The FDIC only protects bankers indirectly. The FDIC protects depositors and has been a force of stability by stopping bank runs. You can argue for or against the idea whether the government or private corporations should be the ones to own the FDIC, but don't make unsubstantiated claims that it hasn't worked. It's a nice slight of hand to say the private corps that own the FED are against corporatism.

  • He's had guests before from AR org. He knows they don't advocate anarchy and that they advocate government acting to protect people from force, fraud, etc. He isn't prodding, he's straw-manning, that's not how you pretend ignorance to get a guest to share his views.

"It has never worked in any country in the world"? It has never been tried purely, and to the degree that it has been, it has brought prosperity and increased quality of life across the board. History, it's delicious.

  • @Beethovens7th

Why is it a nonsensical question? Isn't it man's life an end in itself?

Maybe you're confused by the word 'us' at the end of the question. Like Alex Epstein said, 'There is no WE'.

I disagree with this sentiment, that there is no 'we', but that's a different discussion. I'm still baffled how Objectivists seem to reject the concept of people uniting as one. To Objectivists, how do they explain the "United" in the "United States"? Maybe they reject that concept also.

  • Thank you for approving my video response.

  • "Should we serve the economy or should the economy serve us?"

I don't even know how to respond that. It's simply a nonsensical question.

  • capitalism has no soul...
