TONUS-MUSIC is a musical and compositional concept of reduction and repetition. A combination of groove and minimal music, moreover interesting elements of metric, the interconnection and equilibrium of rhythmical structures in combination with musical asceticism and meditation.
TONUS-MUSIC (since 1993) was developed by the Swiss musician and composer Don Li, who established the TONUS-MUSIC LABOR in Bern, Switzerland. It is a place serving as concert hall, recording studio, public laboratory, home to workshops and classes. TONUS-MUSIC LABOR has established itself as the terminal for musicians, composers, and those interested in the aesthetics of TONUS-MUSIC. Check:www.tonus-music-records.com

  • What's to "understand" about a "style"?? I mean seriously... think about that one. Understanding is relative. Consider your best friend. Do you understand them? I assure you that you will never completely understand them or yourself for that matter. Music is similar. It's just a pattern of vibrations. Your mind will interpret the vibrations however it reacts. Once it forms conclusions, those conclusions describe you, not the music... the sounds themselves are meaningless without you

  • Fantastic!!! I'd love to see the score...

  • love it. beautiful.

  • I can´t understand this style!
