This is a traditional song of love, betrayal, murder and suicide. Stringed Migration features Elizabeth Nicholson (harp, guitar & vocals), Bob Soper (bouzouki, percussion & vocals), Rob Barrick (pipes and bass), and Eddie Parente (violin & viola).
The audio seems to sound better when played at the highest (HD) setting.
No overdubs or punch-ins were used in this recording.
Thanks to Norm Nicholson, who taped and edited the video.
Thanks also to Sam Keator & Anne Doherty for use of their Wee Ceili Room, where this recording was made!

  • Delightful surprise, guys.

I wasn't really looking for this, but that's what youtube does when you're looking for something else!

Great balance of instruments and voices.

    Now - what key?

You seem to finish on 'C', but is it really C-minor?

  • @nolicnotrut Thanks for listening! The song is in the key of F.

  • @StringdMigration Oh dear, I wish I hadn't asked.

For my next project I will invent a concertina-capo!

  • Great stuff, you all play very well together!
