The other cars pull him up hill at the start, so he is either a big guy, or has a bit LESS power. That was all skill, familiarity with the course, and ferocity. On of my favorite driving clips. Gnarly Dude.

Couldn't attribute it to luck: this driver knew the course SUPER well, on account of frequent close tailing the others with no fear and not smacking into them. Tailing really well and constant distance early to mid part of the video. Awesome stuff!! Obviously knows how to overtake, & makes me question if the car was better prepared. Awesome. Power seems hefty! Ta
